RPMG Renews SafeContractor Approval for 2026/27

Health and safety comes first in everything we do at RPMG. So we are pleased to share that RPMG Global Limited has renewed its SafeContractor approval for 2026. Our new certificate was issued on 22 September 2026 and is valid until 22 September 2027.

What is SafeContractor?

SafeContractor is a health and safety accreditation scheme for contractors. Approval is only awarded after an assessment of the contractor’s health and safety documentation against the SafeContractor Assessment Standards. SafeContractor Ltd is a UKAS accredited inspection body covering the SSIP Core Criteria, which means our approval can be checked independently on the SSIP Portal.

What our approval covers

Our certificate covers the core services clients call us in for:

  • Industrial roofing
  • Commercial cladding
  • Gutter cleaning and high level building exterior cleaning
  • Glazing

It also covers the activities that come with that work: working at height, working on roofs, MEWPs, fixed scaffolds, ladders and stepladders, working with chemicals and hazardous substances, and the selection and control of subcontractors. We are approved as both a construction and a non-construction contractor.

Why it matters to our clients

Facilities managers and asset owners need to know that the contractor on their roof has been checked properly before work starts. SafeContractor approval gives them an independent, recognised check of how we manage health and safety, alongside the site-specific documentation we provide for each job.

Training our team

Accreditation is only part of the picture. Our team are trained in the latest industry safety standards, and we keep that training up to date. This year, Managing Director Chris Cummins and Assistant Contractors Manager Ben Collins have both added to their qualifications:

  • Non-Licensed Asbestos training with Airborne Environmental Consultants Ltd, completed by Chris and Ben in September 2026
  • IPAF Harness Awareness, Use and Inspection training with One Stop Hire, completed by Ben in October 2026
  • IOSH Managing Safely, completed by Ben in May 2026
  • Asbestos Awareness, completed by Ben in August 2026

Chris also holds IOSH Managing Safely, SpanSet Rooftop Safety and Work Restraint training, the Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) and First Aid training.

That focus on training is backed by our partnership with Rhino Safety, which we extended earlier this year to take it to five years. Rhino Safety supports the way we audit, train and document our work, from mobilisation to handover.
